Mental Health / Education
We believe that focusing on mental health is paramount globally, after witnessing the benefit of this on the ground when visiting and providing support in the refugee camps and taking donated aid directly to Calais from London various times during 2015 witnessing families from Afghanistan , Syria, who were forced to leave their homelands due to war and unstable political systems, with their children living in tents, in cold weather conditions, surrounded with a small amount of qualified doctors who volunteered from various different parts of Europe and Uk giving their time to help the people in need in the camp, there was also a group of Mental health coaches providing key support on the ground to the people in the camp.
We understand the benefit of providing direct support around skills development through education programmes in schools, colleges and villages, and suburbs of major cities whilst integrating mental health therapy sessions as part of the programmes.
This is proven to be successful in communities that are more isolated such as mountain regions or countryside that are more often geographically dis-connected from the major cities and modern technology.
Young dis-advantaged children and adults In India , Nepal and Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam, that live in mountain regions have little access or knowledge of the world outside of their communities and how far technology has developed over the past 25 years, this may impact these individuals when they grow up and decide to move out of their homelands to the cities to work or simply to discover new opportunities and career paths in their lives.
This is common with dis-advantaged young people and young adults in the country sides of Uk and Europe where they may have little knowledge of city life, how they may benefit from it, and explore the benefits of living in multi-cultural societies and communities surrounded by modern technology and information.
Our programmes are designed specifically to target Mental health needs for the young children and adults in need through community engagement and capacity building overseen and mentored by our professional fully qualified team who have a wealth of experience with in this field locally and globally.
